My team Resiliencity researched resilience in relation to urban environments, based on the 2017 flooding of our hometown of Montreal. Oxford’s global challenge is structured for participants to research the existing problems, gaps and levers for change. Participants then come up with solutions considering governance, society, economy, the environment, special infrastructure, and health and wellbeing.
In addition to learning about floods, my team learned about the importance of connecting with people in different roles and points of view to obtain a global perspective, experienced the challenges of working with a multidisciplinary team firsthand. We realized that everyone has a responsibility to do their part in being prepared for crisis to create a resilient society.
A visual map was required to represent all the research from the presentation and research document.
